  PA 56 East / PA 156 North   PA 56 East / PA 156 North approaching Shelocta.   PA 156 comes to an end at US 422 in Shelocta. PA 56 continues east along US 422. When PA 56 was relocated to PA 156 in the mid-1990s, PA 156 was never truncated back to Shady Plain (9 miles to the west), it's designation was left intact.  PA 56 East / PA 156 North in Shelocta. Some sites may classify Shelocta as a "city." Currently, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania classifies Shelocta as a borough.  The end of the road for PA 156. Signage indicates the continuing of PA 56 East with US 422 East.
